Business Visa

Documents Particulars
Passports *Original passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages. 
* Photocopy of the data and amendment pages of the applicant's passport.
* Original old passport booklets if any
Photographs * One photograph with size 4cm x 5cm taken no more than 6 months ago. Scanned photos are not acceptable
Covering Letter * A covering letter per individual/family/ company addressed to The Visa officer, Embassy of Brazil
* The Covering Letter should brief the profile of the applicants and the purpose of travel with travel dates. Covering letter should  state the purpose of visit and day to day details
* Covering Letter can be on a plain paper for individuals and on the company letterhead for officials / sponsored applicants
Bank Statements * Original Bank statements for the last three months stamped and signed by the bank officer and showing contact details of the bank. SIMPLE COPIES OR COMPUTER SCANS OF SUCH DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
* Bank statements should be of relevant and active accounts which shows the proof of funds and income
* Bank statements should be of a closing date closer to the date of visa application (A4 size preferred)

Purpose of Travel / Accommodation


 
*One-page invitation letter (original with signature notarized in Brazil - "authenticate em cartório") in Portuguese from a Brazilian company addressed to the consular service Embassy of Brazil in New Delhi, including the following information:
-the name and the position that the applicant holds in the company;
-clear, specific and detailed purpose of the trip and business activities which will be performed in Brazil.
- stamp the CNPJ number (tax registration code), address and telephone number of the Brazilian company.
* Original dispatch letter from the applicant's employer, addressed to the consular service of the Embassy of India in New Delhi, including the following information:
(1) the employee's name and title;
(2) time of service for the company;
(3) monthly salary paid by the company to the applicant;
(4) contact person in Brazil;
(5) description of the business activities to be performed in a very clear, specific and detailed manner (generic descriptions might lead to delays and require the applicant to provide additional information and/or to appear for an interview at the Embassy);
(6) The intended duration of the stay;
(7) The statement that the company shall assume full responsibility for the applicant while in Brazil and that the applicant will not exceed the legally authorized stay per visit;
(8) The statement that the company will bear all the costs with the trip;
(9) signature and stamp by a senior manager
*If the applicant is self-employed:
1) bank letter stating his/her financial references; and
2) Notarized Copy of the company’s registration.
3) in case of professional trader or investor, provide notarized brokerage notes for the last 6 (six) months.
* Applicants intending to take part in the production/ filming of commercial or advertisement videos or motion pictures, with or without sound, in addition to the requirements listed above, they MUST submit a permit from the Ministry of Culture of Brazil Agência Nacional de Cinema (ANCINE - http://sif.ancine.gov.br/sig/empresascadastradas.jsp), which to be obtained by the interested party's agent/representative in Brazil (Brazilian partner or co-producer) prior to the visa application.
Supporting Credentials *  Authority letter on the letterhead of the company from the Applicant in favor of Travel Agent to submit and collect the passport. 
*Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
* Hotel Vouchers or other accommodation proof. 
*  Credit Card Statements (International)
Businessmen:
* Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association / partnership deed / PAN Card 
* NOC from other partners or Directors in case of the partnership 
Employees:
* Leave sanction letter from the company (from the Government body in case of Government employees / public servants)
* Last 3 months Salary Statements (only for Private firms)
* Company ID card (optional)
* Retirement Certificate or Letter / Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees)
* Pension statements for the last three months;
Students:
Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days)
Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations)
* School/ College ID card (optional)
Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports):
* Marriage Certificate (Original)
* Wedding Invitation card / Photographs (in case the marriage certificate is not ready)
Special requirements for minors:
* Presentation of the original birth certificate or a notarized copy. Copies presented without the original birth certificate must be legalized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.
Children traveling and unaccompanied by both the parents / either parent
* A  NOC  from both of the parents mentioning whether they are accompanying or not accompanying on the travel. 
* Passport copies/copy of both / either of the parents
*In case parents don't have passports, birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents.
Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners
* A NOC letter from the unaccompanied spouse 
* Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse. If not a passport holder, any Govt ID Proof mentioning spouse name can be submitted.

* A letter explaining the purpose and day to day program itinerary of your trip. 
*Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
* When visiting relatives/ friends who reside in Brazil, present a notarized invitation letter from a Brazilian citizen, or foreigner with residence permit in Brazil, assuring the responsibility for housing and related expenses during the guest's stay in Brazil.
Supporting Credentials *  Authority letter on the letterhead of the company from the Applicant in favor of Travel Agent to submit and collect the passport. 
*  Credit Card Statements (International)
Businessmen:

- Letter from the organization who will be sponsoring the trip.
- Signed invitation letter from the organizers mentioning the following: Details of the proposed visit of the applicant and details if the applicant will receive any monetary benefits.
*For Amateur Athletes/ Participants of Art Contests:  Signed invitation letter from the organizers of the competition/contests, providing specific information on: a) The activity to be performed; b) Location and duration of the activity/event; c) If the prize money (if any) is from Brazilian sources or not; d) If there will be sale of entry tickets/passes for the event; e) Any monetary benefits that the applicant may receive; f) Responsibility to see that the applicant returns back to India.
*Short Term Rotary Exchange Programme:
- Letter from the Indian rotary giving details of the selection process and confirmation of selection.
- Letter from Rotary in Brazil giving details of Host family mentioning clearly that they would be responsible for the applicant while in Brazil and would ensure the applicant returns back to India after the programme.
